It's Mardi Gras Time!
The Endymion Extravaganza on February 17, 2007 at the Louisiana Superdome is SOLD OUT. And no wonder -- Taylor Hicks is the Grand Marshall this year! Joining Taylor at the Endymion Extravaganza, a black-tie private gala in the Louisiana Superdome following the parade, will be Journey, Styx, and Al Green. Local bands the Chee Weez, the WiseGuys and the Topcats will also perform. What fun is that Soul Patrol!
The fun has already started -- catch this Associated Press article in the paper on Saturday, February 17:
Like many others, Taylor is lending his support to help boost the economy in the Gulf region. In particular, New Orleans will certainly be grateful for a boost from a successful Mardi Gras this year. Tourism is key to the successful rebuilding of that region devastated by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. You can help. Send a donation to The New Orleans Musicians Clinic, a charity that Taylor supports in New Orleans -- and tell them that Taylor Hicks inspired you to help them out.

Taylor is playing golf alongside other celebrities and pros in the 48th Bob Hope Chrysler Classic hosted by George Lopez , January 16-21. In 47 years, the tournament has donated more than $43 million to local charities throughout the Coachella Valley.

More terrific photos will be provided to TaylorCares.org by the BHCC staff, so please check back throughout the week.
In 47 years, the tournament has donated more than $43 million to the Eisenhower Medical Center and approximately 40 other charities. Mercedes Marathon
You are invited to be part of the inspiring Mercedes Marathon weekend by supporting Kid One Transport!
Join in the excitement and run or walk to help children in Alabama reach needed medical care. Check out the many ways you can have fun, stay healthy, and support Kid One during this annual weekend! Kid One Patrol of Soul (KOPS)
Kid One Patrol of Soul (KOPS) is a Web board composed of Soul Patrollers whose main objective is to work on projects for the benefit of Kid One Transport.
Having completed projects for Kid One that included a Soul Patrol Cookbook, Beanie Babies for the children serviced by Kid One, and thank you baskets for the Kid One staff at Christmas, the KOPS crew is now embroiled in a new venture. A representative from KOPS is negotiating to appear on The Rachel Ray Show to explain their Children's Cookbook. It will contain kid-friendly recipes that can be whipped up by adult and child alike. The group is presently previewing recipes for inclusion in the book and when published, all proceeds will go directly to Kid One. Visit the Kid One Patrol of Soul Message Board and watch for details on the sale of this Children's Cookbook.
This energetic group is sponsoring a team to run in the Mercedes Marathon, where they will be selling T-shirts with 100% of the contributions going to Kid One. Taylor is offering an autographed Under The Radar CD and autographed photo of himself to the person who raises the most money for Team KOPS!
We highly commend this group for all their selfless efforts on behalf of Taylor and Kid One.

Thank you and Laissez les bons temps rouler!”
